REPAIRING THE ARMAND'S JOY
The Armand's Joy has had many patch repairs over the years. Primarily comprised of fiberglass strips and epoxy, the Armand's Joy was able to remain water worthy for years. Once inherited by Liz it was acknowledged that work would be needed before the vessel got back on open water. A garage was found and the boat was moved to Massachusetts. But it was too good to be true. Too dark, too damp, and a little bit too far away, the garage with the boat inside, became and expensive and poorly suited storage location. For two years. And then on a suggestion of a friend I searched again for a maker space. There's one less than 4 miles from my house. So space was acquired in April 2021, the boar was moved in, and repairs began.
REPAIR UPDATES
Between balancing a full time job, a large vegetable garden, and her goal to be the coolest aunt to the children of many friends, Liz has little time to spare. So the updates come when they come. But the goal is to get the Armand's Joy back on the water by Labor Day 2021. And to accomplish this, frequent work should be expected.
